Bonus only valid for 2 years?

I keep seeing that ''bonus are valid for 2 years'': does that mean that the 1$ rebate I just got and applied on my Internet plan will expire in 2 years and then my plan will go up 1$ again?
If so that is seriously weird....

In theory yes, however, two users that joined Fizz 2 years ago they reported that they still have the bonus.

Wow that is a really weird way to do things... Feels like baiting if the bonus are only temporary...
I left Videotron because of that: the rebate they would give me for a short while just for my bill to go back up again eventually... :S
