Is it just me or do you have to sign in often when navigating fizz.ca, especially in my account I find it logs me out while I'm still using the site and I have to log back in. Is this just me and an issue with my browser (I've had this both with Chrome and edge (the new chromium based one)

Exact same problem here. It throws you out a lot. Only thing that stays logged in is the forum5

It's just more secure like that, Emmanuel !6

Hi Emmanuel,
It it standard practice for most service providers to have a timeout period where self-serve login sessions will expire. This is a security safeguard feature that ensures your personal information is secure and protected and there is no unauthorized access or changes made to your account.
I can understand it may be slightly annoying to have to sign in regularly, however, if a session remains active for too long, the risk for a customer being a victim of a privacy breaches or fraud increases.
If you are experiencing issues with your session logging you out while you are actively navigating the website, I would suggest clearing your browser cache and cookies.
For Chrome, you can do so by following these steps:
1- On your computer, open Chrome.
2- At the top right, click More (the three little dots).
3- Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
4- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
6- Click Clear data.
Hope this helps. Thank you6 -
Agree,
In contrast to what Tony is saying, I don't think the frequent log out has to do with "timeout period". From my experience it doesn't have to do with time spent on the website or inactivity. I will log in, quickly move through menus and at some point I will select a different menu that will require me to enter my log in info again. After that, I never have to log back in again.
It's probably in the architecture of the website, as if you are jumping from something to another (which you think should be linked, but under appearance are not).
That being said, it could still be for security and it's easier for them to have us logging in more often than solving the glitch. Because Fizz is not a website we are continuisly using, I think it's not a big deal,

@Tony, I fully understand the security implications, but they could set the timeout to more than 30 seconds or whatever it's set to, my point is it's too agressive. I don't have my trouble with my bank, and I really don't need this site to be more secure than my bank.
I agree it's not the end of the world, but it's not a good experience, and I agree with Nomdefoire, maybe it's not a log-out but the site being poorly built and connected parts are not actually connected or something like that.
It'll be fine once I'm all up and running, but as feedback to Fizz, it's not a good experience for new users and could scare someone away.5 -
I agree with you Emmanuel. A timer, similar like many banks have it, would be great !! I hope they implement it in the future5
