I few days ago I upgraded to videotrons Helix router. The router has a constant humming noise which they tell me is an internal fan. The router is next to my desk adn I can move it anywhere else. I'm looking at switching to Fizz and seeing if anyone can tell me if there is any noise with the fizz router.

Hi Alexandro
The Fizz modem/router does not make any noise (there is no fan or moving parts).
Feel free to try Fizz home internet. Note: You do not have to cancel Videotron beforehand. Wait until your Fizz internet is setup and meets your needs before cancelling with your current provider.
BTW this is a good time to join Fizz as they are giving $50 bonus credit to new customers (until January 6 2021).
If you need a referral code, there is a list here:

You can choose mine or use the code of someone who has helped you.
To be transparent, both parties will receive the bonus credit once you have paid your second bill.8 -

Not that I know of. I wouldn't think that a router would have a fan. Then again their system is also for TV so I guess it makes sense.5
