Any other mobile users outside the Ottawa downtown with poor reception

Hello, are there any mobile users in the Ottawa subscription area but outside the urban core and do you experience good service/reception with good and consistent mobile data speeds?

    Hi Clive

You can check the Fizz coverage map here: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage

And you can see all the cell tower locations on this map: https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/cancellsites.html

Note that your phone services will only work in the coverage area you have chosen for your plan. Otherwise, you can purchase travel add-ons if you need services elsewhere.

You must enable roaming to use mobile data outside of the subscription area. And if it doesn't connect automatically, you can try restarting your phone.
  • More info on my posting:
    - my quality of signal post relates to other users who live and/or work inside the subscription area of Ottawa but are not in or near the downtown core AND experience poor call quality, dropped calls, slow or inconsistent mobile data speeds either on the device or when tethering. I am not in/near downtown Ottawa but am in the subscription area and do experience dropped calls, calls that do not connect at all and slow and erratic mobile data speeds. Fizz' response has been varied between my device being not compatible to they are always expanding service areas to an admission that some parts of the subscription area have poor LTE/4G coverage. Anyone else experience the same in other parts of Ottawa?
