How to postpone Fizz internet service?
Hello Fizz
I would like to ask you a question related to Fizz internet service. My family with three kids studding at school got a letter from their school board saying that videotron internet service will be installed in our location from December 2020 through June 2021. The internet service for this period of time will be paid by the school board. In this circumstances can we postpone Fizz service up to June 2020 (keep an account but do not have internet) or we have to cancel Fizz in order to have videotron installed ?

Hi Osman,
I am not sure why you would have to cancel Fizz. If the school board will pay for Videotron internet service, I guess they would also pay for Fizz internet ?11 -
Hi Osman
As Mike mention, there is no way to hold or postpone your Fizz service.
If you longer need the service, you can unsubscribe and be sure to return the modem.
However before making any rash discussions, do you know what speed and how much bandwidth usage you will be getting from Videotron? Fizz home internet service includes unlimited usage but some services offer limited usage. Be sure your Videotron service will cover all your needs before cancelling with Fizz. Otherwise another option to consider is to adjust/reduce your Fizz home internet plan as needed: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/i-would-like-to-change-my-fizz-home-internet-plan-how-do-i-do-this
If you have any questions for Fizz, you can Live chat with support at any time 24/7:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca

Osman,
Sorry, it's not possible to postpone a Fizz plan.
Your need to cancel it.
Follow Mike's instructions.4 -
Mike always has good suggestions. You should follow that.3

Videotron uses the same line, so you wouldn't be able to have it assigned to 2 accounts, pretty sure you will have to cancel and the sign-up again once the schoolboard wont pay for videotron anymore2
