After the installation of your Fizz internet and all the testing you can close your previous provider, do not do it before.
This is what Fizz suggest
Once your Home Internet plan is activated, don’t forget to contact your previous provider to cancel your Internet subscription with them, and avoid paying double.

This is also a good time to join Fizz as they are giving $50 bonus credit to new customers (until January 6 2021).
If you need a referral code, there is a list here:

You can choose mine, both parties will receive the bonus credit once you have paid your second bill.6 -
Hi Elham
You don't want to be left without Internet access. All ISPs offer same day cancellation now.
So you can call your old ISP to cancel once you are satisfied that your Fizz home internet service is working well for you. Also your ISP plan fee is prorated, so you will be refunded for any days you have already paid for.
Fyi there is currently a few weeks wait for the installation appointment.

Hi elham,
No need to rush, just make sure everything works fine with Fizz before calling your previous provider.6 -
Elham,
I suggest you to get the service with your actual provider until your Fizz service is totally functionnal the day of your installation.
After, you can cancel the plan with this provider.3
