Can’t send iMessage since I joined Fizz. What to do?

Hi,
I just activated my phone plan. I didn't take the text message option because I am sending only imessage. That being said, I can't send imessage anymore. My phone shows only the green button for all my contacts. I tried restarting my phone or deactivating and reactivating the imessage, but it didn’t help. What can I do?
