why doesn't my answering machine answer the phone?

Hi,
I have voicemail on my phone but when someone calls there is no answering machine answering thus no one can leave a message. I can only listen to the messages left a long time ago, before it stopped working.
Can you verify the problem?

    Axcess this problem is probably because you have too much messages in your voicemail. You need to cancel them. I think the maximum is 10 messages after that nobody can leave a message anymore.
