I don't have a credit card. How can I subscribe? What type of connection has Fizz Internet?
1st = I don't have credit cards. How am I supposed to get Internet with Fizz?
2nd = What type of Internet connection has Fizz?
I'd like to pay the first month, get the modem-router and the after-installation support, and to pay the bill online each month, afterward.
Possible? Not possible?
I'm shopping around.
I'll be moving in next week, so I'm not switching, I just want to have Internet with a reliable company, with a good price.
That wold be all.
Thanks!
Eugen V.

Hi Eugen
With Fizz, you do need to use a credit card to pay your monthly bill: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-payment-methods-can-i-use
Some prepaid cards are accepted as well. Users have mentioned using KOHO or https://www.theperfectgift.ca. Fizz does not recommend the Vanilla card.
Fizz uses the same cable network in use by Videotron. Both companies are owned by Quebecor.
To find out if you are eligible for Fizz home Internet, you can go here to simulate a registration: https://fizz.ca/en/internet
Select your plan and enter your address. If you are eligible, you can enter your payment information and select an installation date.
Fyi with any internet company, there is about 1 to 2 weeks wait time for the installation appointment.
Also this is a good time to join Fizz as they are giving $40 bonus credit to new customers (until November 18th).
If you need a referral code, there is a list here:
https://community.fizz.ca/questions/2198337-place-referral-codes
You can choose mine or the code of someone who has helped you.
To be transparent, both parties will receive the bonus credit once you have paid your second bill.7 -

Hi Eugen. Go to your bank and ask to give you a Debit Visa Card or Debit Mastercard, they are free and work like a credit card but take money from your debit account. For details, see here https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-payment-methods-can-i-use.
Fizz use Videotron network, very reliable.
You cannot "pay" as (or when) you want, money are automatically deducted from your card at the beginning of each cycle (I think one day in advance), for as long as you are a subscriber to Fizz services. You have no contract as Fizz works with prepaid services.
I wish you good luck. Welcome to Fizz.8 -
Eugen,
Fizz is a prepaid provider and requires to pay by credit card only (Visa, Mastercard, Visa-Debit and a rechargeable pre-paid credit card.
Residential Fizz internet works on the coaxial câble of Videotron.3 -
You can use KOHO card - https://www.koho.ca/
You can unsubscribe from Fizz any time via your account.
Fizz uses Videotron infrastructure. The connection is very reliable. You can check out the current prices at fizz.ca
My personal experience - I've had Fizz internet for almost two years. I had a problem only once, and a simple unplugging of the modem solved it.1 -
1. You can't without credit card. At least, some banks offer debit Visa Cards, you can try to ask for it.
2. Fizz use Videotron network, so coaxial cable.7
