Can’t connect my laptop to the network

Just bought a laptop and to finish the setup I need to connect it to Fizz network- I was told to use the default key but it doesn’t work- can you please help me

Be careful when entering characters such as "0", "O", "1", "l" as they can be easily mis-typed.

If you have tried the possible passwords without success, read here for the help FAQ from Fizz.

You can also try a factory reset of the modem (described in step 5 of above link).

If needed, you can contact customer support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM every day:

1- Connect to your Fizz account (if you have more than one, connect to the one that has the problem) by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/my-device-cannot-connect-wi-fi-how-do-i-fix
3- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.

Hello Claudine, by key you means password ? Make sure you enter the pwd correctly, try to change zero by 0 or l by i. Sorry for that. If still not working, contact support via chat

Hi Claudine,
Did you changed the modem's default password for wifi? If you did, you have to use YOUR PASSWORD to successfully connect to it. The default password is used only when installing a new modem or, after a factory reset. Usually we all change that difficult default password with something more simple like the name of a friend or a pet... That's why, if you have changed the WIFI password, you have to use yours. Is the same password that you use for all your devices connected to WIFI.

Please, use a magnifying glass to get the correct factory password back of your modem.

I forget to suggest that if you have changed the default password and don't remember it, you have to reset your modem to factory default and then you will use the default password (that is written behind the modem). On first connection you'll have opportunity to change it if you wish so. If you reset modem you will need to reconnect all your other devices by updating their wifi password to this one
