Hi Sylvain
I will start to turn off for a minute, to reset the modem in over killing
the only problem that your modem can have a memory corruption, therefore a power cycle will solve it
If you need to do a factory reset multiple times for something that it is not a wrong configuration, this is not normal.12 -
Sylvain I did reset my modem 1 time since 6 months. So I want to tell you if everything is ok don’t touch.13

Hi Sylvain
As others mention, this is a personal choice. There is no need to automatically schedule a reset.
Over time, you will notice how long your modem will perform well without a reset.
Also if there is a pending firmware update, it will install automatically.
When I signed up with Fizz, the modem I received was brand new. As a personal choice, I use a smart plug to turn it off overnight when no one is using WIFI. I want to keep using the modem for as long as possible and not have to replace it over the years.12 -
Sylvain, if your modem works fine, if your speed is as expected, no you don't need to reset. Have a good day13

It's use to happen a lot to me, I bridge it and now use two separate routers12

Sylvain, resetting will not update the firmware or anything. However, if it had memory corruption or CPU usage issues, it could help.
The simplest trick; do a speedtest (https://speedtest.net) and if your speed/latency is normal, everything is fine.12 -
In normal condition it should not be required. However, if there are accumulating errors, it might be a good idea to power cycle from time to time.14

Only do a reset if you have a problem. If it works, don't touch it.6

Hi,
Do a power cycle (power off/ on) only if you have internet problems, else is not even recommended.6
