Technician's appointment is today from 12 to 5pm. I haven't receive any call. Will he knock the door? Is he going to call? What is gonna happen?

Some technicians will call before they arrive. It is really up to the technician.
The latest news due to covid is that the technician will do the required setup outside and leave the modem by your door. You should then receive a call to retrieve the modem.

Just make sure someone is ready to answer the phone and check the door. Also check your email in case there is news there.
