Will the internet rates for Fizz increase on October 1,2020 as per decision from CRTC?
I received a notice from my current internet provider, TekSavvy that my rate will increase on October 1 2020 as per decision from the CRTC. I would like to now if Fizz will also be increasing your rates and if so by how much. I'm currently interested in the 30 mbps plan for $45.00

At the moment they did not communicate any increase, they must communicate 30 days in advance to the users with an activate plan
If you decide to subscribe, remember to use the referral code, if you activate before oct 15 you will get 40$ at your 3rd payment

Harvey, they increased for new subscriptions a couple of months ago already so I would hope they won't again soon.16

Hi Harvey
I have been a Fizz home internet customer for 18 months.
Like you, I was subscribed to a competitor prior to Fizz. The competitor couldn't match Fizz pricing, so I gave Fizz a try and haven't looked back. Since my Fizz internet has been working well, I have kept the same Fizz plan and I am paying the same plan price since the beginning.
I urge you to give Fizz a try. Your ping time may improve too since Fizz network servers are local in Quebec. Installation is free unless you opt for the $30 VIP installation. To ensure a smooth transition, you can wait until your Fizz internet is up and running before calling your current provider to cancel. They don't need advance notice, you can cancel on the same day that you call.
As already mentioned, if you are a new customer, you will qualify for the $40 promo credit if you use a referral code when you activate your first plan (after Oct 15, it goes back to $25).
The list of available codes is here:

If you feel that my post has helped you, feel free to use my referral code. Both parties (you and I) will earn the $40 credit once you have paid your second bill.16 -
