Fizz Modem/Router Problem
In the Modem/Router (Hitron firmware: 2.0.10.43b8), Under STATUS - WIRELESS - WIRELESS CLIENTS. When I click on the "Wireless Clients" button a table shows up with a spinning icon....but the list of wireless clients never shows up - just keeps spinning. Is this a bug with all of these modem/router or is it just mine?

I remember my colleague told me about this bug a couple months back. I think it might be a Modem/Router bug but I will let someone with actual Fizz internet reply.13

Hi LoDown
Are you using the Fizz app or web browser?
When I go to http://192.168.0.1/login.htm
those options you mentioned are working fine for me.
Just out of curiosity, are you actively using the wifi of the Fizz modem and you have devices connected to Fizz wifi?
BTW you may also go to Security >> Device Filter >> Connected Devices
to see a list of all your connected devices (both ethernet and wifi).12 -
Hi Fizzy,
I am using a laptop via WiFi. I have cell phones and other laptops connected in addition to the laptop I'm using to access the Modem/Router. Going to Security >> Device Filter >> Connected Devices and clicking on "Refresh" gives me a perpetual twizzle stick bar - nothing show up.
Btw, I am using Google Chrome (latest) for my browser - what is yours?12 -
Hi LoDown
I'm using Chrome Version 85.0.4183.121
but connected via ethernet cable.
You can try that. If issue persists, perhaps try restarting your modem.
Let us know if any resolve the issue.12 -
More info.....when I use the Fizz WiFi App on my Android phone I can see the connected devices. When I use Chrome on my phone and access thru 192.168.0.1 it does not work. Same results as using my laptop via Wifi.12

Fizzy,
- My Chrome browser is: Version 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)
- I already had tried disconnecting/reconnecting my modem/router before asking my question - no luck.
- I tried using Opera and Edge browsers on my laptop - both have the exact same results.
What is your firmware version? If the same as mine on the Hitron 4680, I am stumped !!12 -
...I found an Ethernet cable and tried it. Still the same results!!12

I am using the same firmware. I think we are all because the modem is supposed to self install the latest one.
Hmm. If this bothers you, you could try doing a factory reset of the modem.
Otherwise you could also chat with Fizz support to see if anyone else has encountered this issue.11 -
ok - some progress. When I disable the 5 GHz Channel the wireless clients under STATUS - WIRELESS - WIRELESS CLIENTS finally show! However, going to Security >> Device Filter >> Connected Devices still does not show the clients. Firmware is obviously bug laden. Likely depends on "exactly" how your 5GHz and 2.4 GHz channels are setup.
Fizz Mods - please pass finding on to Hitron for their next firmware release.2
