Request only Fizz modem?
Is it possible to request a simple modem from Fizz? Just COAX to ethernet?
Router's a bit bulky, so I'd prefer to have something smaller to hide behind my own router.
If not, does anyone know where can I find cheap coax to ethernet modems?
I do not want to use the Fizz Hitron Router as the WIFI keeps dropping off and no matter what channel I set it to, it will change the next day...

Hi Hrair
Sorry, up to now, Fizz internet works only with the Hitron CODA-4680 modem.
As other customers have done, you can use your own router with the Fizz modem.
It's straightforward to disable the Residential Gateway function of the modem and hook up your router.
Here are the instructions from Fizz: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-can-i-use-my-own-wi-fi-router-fizz6 -
Hi Hrair,
With Fizz there is only 1 modem/router which is the Hitron CODA-4680. But you can always set it in bridge mode and use is as a simple cable modem. I agree the modem is a bit bulky, but you can always hide it somewhere5 -
No, there is no alternative modem at the moment. Using it in bridge mode works well.5

Hrair,
It's not possible.
You must use the Fizz modem in bridge mode and use your own router.3
