Lack of service/coverage in area

I selected Canada wide coverage for my plan, but I went about 20 mins barley outside my city and it switched to rogers and I couldn't call, text, or use my data. I wanted to know why this was happening and if I travel to Montreal or Toronto will this happen?

Did you try to reboot the phone?

Thanks for asking this question. I am new to Fizz and haven’t travelled this summer outside the subscription area, but you should have coverage. Here are two FAQ about traveling outside the subscription area. Usually this type of transfer is seamless - at work I pick up the FIZZ EXT and still have data etc. A few days ago someone posted that one of the FIZZ EXT networks they joined didn’t work, but they could manually connect to a different network and then they could call/text and use data.

Hi Maya,
The same issue happened to me but there is an easy fix for that, Like Mike said, simply enable the data roaming and reboot your phone.6 -

Please, reboot your phone and dont forget to enable the roaming on your phone when you are outside the green coverage (subscription zone) of Fizz.5
