do you have an iPhone?
If yes check the iMessage configuration

Can you provide more information? Are you experiencing this issue now but were able to send/receive messages before? Or you've just joined Fizz? What information do you get when you try to send a sms?

Please check the configuration of iMessage on your phone.8 -
iMessage is activated. This happened when data was depleted. Do I need data to use text messages, even if my plan is unlimited messages?8

Hi Anne,
When using iMessage, you will be able to use this service only when you have wifi or mobile data.

In this case, please enable the "Send as SMS" option to allow you to use SMS when iMessage is not available.5 -
If you use iMessage, that uses data. Try sending a message on wifi it will probably be delivered. You can disable iMessage until you received some data, add an add-on or wait for your next billing date. Also, Picture message will not work without data
