I am trying to upgrade my internet plan and I don't know why I need to wait till 9-02. Please explain!

Changes are made as of your next billing cycle.6

Ryan you can’t change your plan before 20 hours of your next payment.
Important – any change to your plan must be made 48 hours before the end of your payment cycle. During those 48 hours, systems are frozen and no change can be made. You’ll therefore have to wait for the next payment cycle.8 -
So basically that I will have to pay both plans since it is less than 48 hours away? I will have to pay my current and the new one for that month7

You can’t make changes in the last 48 hours of your current cycle. Yes, you will need to wait until the next cycle to make changes.
