Why can't access my home internet with my phone?

I've just installed home internet and it works fine on my laptop but when I click on it on my android, it doesn't even give me the option to enter my password. I click on it and nothing happens. I tried resetting the router too. Some help would be highly appreciated.

Log in to your modem, deactivate Band Steering, this will separate your wifi network in 2. The 2.4 and the 5GHz. Usually this help a lot!
