I'm Spanish and I just moved to Canada. I want to open a mobile plan but I don't have a Canadian bank account yet. I tried to open a plan with the Spanish account but it tells me that my CV is wrong. Why is my account Spanish? Do I have to wait to open a Canadian bank account?

You cannot, you need a Canadian credit card
However, some users have used the online prepaid credit card called koho
The credit card can be prepaid but must be Canadian and rechargeable
If you need a referral code, in order to have 25$ at your 3rd payment

And yes you can use mine7 -
Pilar You can use a Visa or Mastercard credit card (including prepaid), or a Visa Debit card to pay for your Fizz plans.
Other cards such as debit cards, American Express (Amex), Dinners, and others are not accepted. Foreign credit/debit cards are also not accepted. You also cannot use the funds from your Fizz Wallet to pay for your monthly plan.7 -
Hi Pilar,
Welcome to Canada! You can purchase a prepaid credit card, make sure it allows for recurring payments. Some company’s like Vanilla don’t. At somepoint you will need to open a Canadian bank account and/or apply for a Canadian card. Many banks offer cards for newcomers.6 -
Bad plan, you need a credit card dude5

Hi Pilar,
I suggest you to open a Stack Prepaid Mastercard. With this one you can add money to it in any Canada Post. Once you opened the account they give you a virtual card number that you can use right away! The KOHO is good, but you need to have an existing bank account to load money on it5 -
Sorry, I don’t think it’s possible. Fizz is a Canadian company, not Spanish6
