It looks like a fibre optic cable has been ripped out and although I can log into my wifi network, there is no connectivity.
How can this be resolved?

If the broken the optical cable you need to wait there is nothing that you can do

Optic fiber cable belongs to Bell. Fizz uses coaxial cable. So your connectivity problem isn't related.

Are you sure it’s a fibre optic cable and not an electric cable? Be careful!
