Victoria you can choose only the 2.4 GHZ if you want. Choose to FORGET the 5 GHZ .
Did you try to disable the ATF? Disable ATF in Wireless -> ATF -> 2.4G and 5G7 -
When you connected to your modem via your web browser, there is an option to disable or enable the 5Ghz network!7

Hi Victoria
Are you using the default settings of the Fizz modem?
After a factory reset, the Fizz modem will broadcast wifi on both frequencies (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
Your device(s) should automatically connect to the proper frequency. If a specific device can connect only to the 2.4 GHz frequency, it cannot connect to 5 GHz.
Optionally you may logon to your modem settings at 192.168.0.1 and disable any wifi frequency you no longer want to use: "Wireless" >> "Basic settings"
>> 2.4G or 5G >> "Wireless Enabled" >> Off3 -
I think disabling ATF is the right way to go!2
