If my plan has 5GB of data for example and I want to use data in another country. There’s the option to pay $5 for 1 GB to use. Is that 1GB apart from the 5GB that my plan has? And when I use the 1 GB can I add another GB or as many as I would need all in the same cycle?

I think you will see another block of data. You can purchase more Data and keep track on your profile. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-travelling-outside-my-coverage-zone-what-are-my-roaming-options12

Marvin yes the 1 GB and the 5GB are not for the same usage. The 1 will be for your travel when you are abroad.
If your Travel Add-on runs out while you are still travelling, your account will use the funds deposited in your wallet to cover travel usage.
If money runs out in your wallet, you will lose the ability to use roaming data and texts. There is no surcharge when your wallet runs out of funds.8 -
Hi ! The 1 GB is appart of your 5 GB. You won't be able to use your 5 GB abroad, and you won't be able to use the 1 GB in your current zone. If you use your whole 1 GB, you will be able to add another one. The traval package you will be adding will be available for the rest of the current cycle, plus the next one (so up to 60 days).7

Marvin,
If you buy an add-on for another country, you may use it until the next billing cycle.7 -
Yes they are seperate 1gb for travel the 5gb for Canada or Quebec package.7

Since you are paying extra for the 1gb, it will be apart from the existing 5gb.1
