reboot modem (frequency)?

I've had Fizz Internet for a few months and am rather satisfied with the service. Today, for some reason, my Internet wasn't working despite the modem lights seemingly indicating otherwise (see pic). Am I correct that, based on the lights, the Internet should have been working?
I didn't think of rebooting the modem until much later (my bad, seeing as it resolved the issue) but I'm curious to know how often a Fizz modem needs to be rebooted?


  • I have to reboot every time that I have power outage. I'm wondering to have a smart switch to reboot the modem every night.
  • Same issue, but after two restarts, it worked fine.
