reboot modem (frequency)?
I've had Fizz Internet for a few months and am rather satisfied with the service. Today, for some reason, my Internet wasn't working despite the modem lights seemingly indicating otherwise (see pic). Am I correct that, based on the lights, the Internet should have been working?
I didn't think of rebooting the modem until much later (my bad, seeing as it resolved the issue) but I'm curious to know how often a Fizz modem needs to be rebooted?

Hi Simon,
It is normal that modem performance can degrade over time.
If you didn't need to reboot for a few months, your service is working well.
Personally I shut off the modem when no one is using the internet. So on average, 2 to 3 times a week. You can use a smart plug to do it automatically.20 -
Since January i rebooted My Fizz modem that is connected to a router only twice, because we had power failure.
Sometimes it slows down, then goes back to normal...
Rebooting often solves poor modem performance sometimes.
The network is pretty reliable, from my experience, the cable wiring in your building/ house effects signal performance also.18 -

Yes Simon. Based on the modem lights, your internet should be fully functional.19

I have to reboot mine about every 3 months, and yes those lights mean it's working well.16

Simon.
Since march 2019, i've been obliged to reset my modem only one time.
It's working very well.14 -
Seems like bad luck or a faulty modem to me.13

I have to reboot every time that I have power outage. I'm wondering to have a smart switch to reboot the modem every night.4
