    Mike's answer is the best answer.
    Outside Canada and USA, you need to buy data add-ons for thoses countries and use an application like whatsapp, Messenger for your calls

    Kind of but not entirely; once you are out of north-america, you can only roam your data. It’s not such a bad deal since most of Asia, South America and Europe are big into communicating by WhatsApp.

    Like its said, you will need to buy a travel addon outside of North America.
