Has anyone tried an older iPad 2 wifi/cellular circa 2011 with the fizz network? I have one and I would like to give it to a family member so they can contact us using facetime/skype but they don't have the internet at their home?

Hi Jeff,
Normally you need to update to the latest iOS version to be able to access Fizz mobile data. I think the older iPad 2 will not work with Fizz. You can confirm with Fizz support if needed: https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us10 -
Unfortunatly, It's will not work :
From : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices
"For a phone that only allows 3G or HSPA preferred:
Calls and / or mobile data: The phone must support the 1700/2100 MHz frequency (also called AWS)"
The iPad 2 is not compatible with AWS...10 -
