I won't be home for a month, how can I switch off my plan temporarily? The payment was already made
I'm away for about a month due to coronavirus but i still got charged for the internet. I realized that an automatic payment was made 3 days ago, but I want to know how I can switch the plan off temporarily.
Basically, would it be possible to change the plan to pay as you go and revert the payment from 3 days ago because I haven't used the internet since the beginning of the month.

If you want you can close your account now and they will refund the unused days at prorata.
An option to turn the plan off temporarily doesn't exist (see https://community.fizz.ca/questions/1840754-may-leave-canada-2-months-suspend-service-activate-come), but you can try contacting customer service to see if such an agreement would be made as an exception for these exceptional times...7 -
Sadly, I contacted customer support and they told me that it was not possible to suspend a plan. The only option like Marina mentioned is to close my account now and reactivate it within the next 60 days.
However, I read this(https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-unsubscribe-from-fizz-home-internet#2) and it mentions that I must return the wifi modem within the next 15 days after unsubscribing or else I will be charged 150$. And by cancelling my internet plan, they will refund the unused days, 4 to 6 weeks after I return the modem.
So basically, if I close my account for a month and reactivate it, I would get charged 150$ for not returning my modem and I won't get the refund for unused days because they didn't receive the modem.

I would like to request a feature to suspend plans/accounts.8 -
Yes you would have to return the modem and then reopen a new account. Stupid I agree but it'sthe only way to do it... Suspending accounts for a month or two should be a feature.6

Yu-Yuen, since you are away for about a month, I would just pay the plan for the extra month and be done with it. Meanwhile if you can think of anyone who can make use of your internet plan while you are gone, let them know.
If you were able to change your plan at least 48 hours before your renewal, you could have switched to the lowest costing plan and then switch back at the next renewal after that or before you return back home.7 -
