There is no expiration date for activate the SIM. You can activate it in a year or 2 or 3 and it will work

You can activate it when you are ready, desactivate it after a period and re-activate
it in the future.

I think they should have a expire date so we could reuse a phone number. But for now they don't expire.

Your SIM card does not expire.
In other words, you do not need to use it immediately upon arrival from the mail or the cancellation of a plan.
Remember to keep your card in a place where won’t lose it and take note of the Activation Code
