Why doesn’t my STB (Setup box) have any internet signal when connected to Fizz router/modem?
I have a setup box used for streaming tv that seems to have lost connection with my new fizz router. It worked for the first day but now there is no more internet signal passing thru. I tried different Ethernet cables and ports from the back of the router. I also tried hard rebooting both devices. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I would suggest you to refer to youe setup box manual as for troubleshooting.
They have websites and pdf manuals most of the time.8 -
Communicate with them by messenger, that’s what works best for me.5

It seems that your box have a problem getting the IP
try to set a static IP
IP 192.168.0.99
NetMask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 8.8.8.8
DNS 8.8.4.4
I do not know the Fizz's IP for the DNS2 -
I tried static values but still no good. I’ll contact the setup box company to send me a new box. Perhaps something inside got fried when connecting it to the new fizz router. Thanks for all the suggestions.2

I assume the internet is working and you are able to use WiFi? If so, it is unlikely that the ethernet ports are the problem but I would try plugging in another wired device just to be sure. I would also try using the Fizz modem in bridge mode using my own router to see if that fixes the issue. If that also doesn't work I would try the STB at a friends house.5
