What's your mobile speed?
I've seen a few post about Fizz speed since joining. It got me thinking, why not do a reliable speed test and have the results posted online so ww can all compare real world data?
Here’s my speed test, south shore of Montréal.

I’m around the same. A little over 40mbps. And when you look at this study : https://www.speedtest.net/reports/canada/ it shows that it’s around Videotron’s speed (which is expected). Kinda surprising too see so much variation between companies though7

I have around the same speed. A little over 40 mbps. I’ve read a study that gives 40.99 LTE speed to Videotron network in 2019. The fastest network (Telus) is at around 70 mbps, so quite a difference there7

Louis-Phillipe, usually I have 50
This afternoon is incredible

This morning was 7Mbps8 -
Today around 60 Mbps7

Again Mike, the results show you beings connected to Videotron, which is powered by Fibrenoir (one of the big fiber optic provider which host most of the big company networks). This mean you tested you landline speed, not cellphone speed10

At 6h30 pm, my speed was 16.7 download and upload7.5mbps
On the South shore of Mtl.
Still... slow6 -
I don't mean to say you are inexperienced, but unless you are connected to a VPN that happens to have a server using Videotron as their carrier, this data seems to be coming straight from a landline speed test.

I forgot the WiFI, deactivé le Wifi
This is the result from mon habitation, you can even see the LTE download arrows6 -
Louis-Philippe, if my IP is recognized as Vidéotron I cannot do much, probably it is the tower's configuration6
-
There is nothing wrong with it showing Videotron, if further step is Bell mobility. It does show you are on mobile network. Fibrenoir on the other hand is landline only.
Great speed btw!

The server can be changed on speedtest you can pick bell mobility testing your residential internet6

I just figured out that speedtest changed how it display it's user. If you ask for desktop mode while browsing with your cellphone, it'll display your result as if connected thru a solid landline.
The app does show if you're either on wifi or LTE.9 -
I got about 40.7

Just be advised that those tests use a lot of data to complete .On subject I'm getting around 60mb/second on Longueuil which is great.5

@dani I didn't make this post to have it closed after 1 day but to see if people have reliable speed, if there's sometimes issues or even if service get better with time. I currently plan to leave it open for a while. Feel free to post your link to speedtest result. People only saying they feel their speed isnfast and/or slow dont bring any real useful information. Real test do.
