I’m looking for a Fizz-compatible dumbphone/feature phone (Not an iPhone or Android) for a 70-year-old who will only make phone calls. What’s your top suggestion for an easy-to-use phone with terrific battery life that works on the Fizz network?

Hello Elias,
Please take a look here https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices7 -
This is not an answer to the question I am asking. But thank you!9

I would say the best is to chat with a representative twice.
1st time : ask them which phones are compatible (look for flip phone or other old stuff such as nokia's or wtv)
2nd time : once you've seen a few that you think suitable, reasonably priced and in good shape, chat with them again to be sure which one if any of those you chose are compatible.
No easy way around it I believe.9 -
I'd say the Nokia 3310... Difficult to give other options without digging on the internet for a few hours. O
Best bet is looking up YouTube videos or speaking with a phone seller who has more expertise9 -
It's a little bit complicated to answer your question. The phone needs specific band and be compatible with the 3/4g (lte) network. You will need to chek a specific phone and check if it's compatible with those bands:
For an LTE-compatible phone configured with LTE network preferences: Calls: Your device must support HSPA 850 MHz or 1900 MHz frequencies
Mobile data: Your device must have dual-frequency support for 1700/2100 MHz (also called AWS or band IV)
Your phone can also support other frequencies that allow it to take advantage of the LTE network.
For a phone that only allows 3G or HSPA preferred:
Calls and / or mobile data: The phone must support the 1700/2100 MHz frequency (also called AWS)

If they are Compatible , the old Nokia Brick styled phones were just shy of indestructible (as long as they were not made in Mexico- I don't know why but seemed to hold true)
If all you need is a key pad and maybe a way to store friends numbers these are the way to go2
