how long does it take for a reward to apply?
as a new user you get 250mb extra data reward for 2 years
I applied it after activating my plan
it now says that activation is pending and will take untill the next billing cycle
should i have applied it before activating my account
do i really have to wait a whole month for the reward you get as a new user?

You are suppose to have a perk that one can be activated right away
The reward you must activate as soon as possibile, after having your plan activated, therefore, since the 2 years is starting from when you receive it and not when you activate it.https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-do-i-receive-my-rewards-program
Every upgrade is valid for two (2) years starting from the date you receive it (whether you apply it to your plan or not). So, keep an eye out and activate your upgrades as soon as possible to fully take advantage of them.
Perks, usually you can wait 90 days for the activation and they last for 30 days
Because Fizz likes to spoil you, as part of the My Rewards program you may receive perks. A perk is a single-use item — for example, 2 GB of mobile data valid for 30 days once activated, or a discount at one of our retail partners.
Some perks will be applicable to your mobile service, others to your Home Internet service. You can receive more than one perk at a time. You can choose to apply them all at once, or spread them out.
If you have leftover mobile data from a perk, it won’t be rolled over to the next month once your payment cycle ends. Only unused data included in your plan or in upgrade will be rolled over.
If you receive mobile data as a perk, you can enjoy that perk even if your plan does not include data. You may have to configure your APN settings to do so.
