How much time does it take before I receive my modem/router once I ordered it?

Hi, I want to switch for Fizz internet. I would like to know how much time does it take before I receive my modem/router once I ordered it? I need to know because I want to time it with my previous ISP disconnection and I don't want to be one day without internet. If I order it on the friday, will I be able to get it by monday?

You need too take an appointment usually 1-2 weeks

 

The videotron tech must came to your home to test the cable and he will give you the modem.

You can overlap the 2 provider.

When you receive it will depend on when you can book the technician to come. As mentioned, it's typically 1 week or more so it might be difficult to time up with your disconnection. Perhaps book the appointment for this first, and then book your disconnection.

You should keep your current internet until the modem is received and tested and you're happy with the speed. You can have both current internet service and Fizz internet service concurrently.

Don't rely on the appointment date to cancel your current internet service.
Fizz may NOT deliver your modem on the appointment date. It DID happen to several users.

The earliest appointment you can make to have your Fizz modem/router delivered to you is usually a week from the time you order.

Usually, when you order internet with Fizz, you choose one of thoses suggested date by Fizz. It will take maybe 1 or 2 weeks from your order.
Keep your current internet service in fonction until your appointment with the techcician from Fizz. You'll be sure to be connected without interruption.

They won't mail you the modem, the technician will bring it with him at your scheduled appointment. You can schedule your appointment the same day or the day after.
