Sms not sending since yesterday

Have only been able to send one text since yesterday the rest have failed to send even after multiple attempts.

    Try Mike's suggestion. Also you can try rebooting your phone.


    Are you connected to Fizz network? Does it show Fizz on top corner of your phone?

    What phone are you using?

    Are you using the native texting app or a custom one?

    Are you able to make and receive phone calls?

  • Yeah airplane mode did nothing rebooting did nothing. Using native sms app. I should also add that I’m in Ottawa. Data works but when I rebooted I did get a brief message telling me it failed to connect but that quickly went away. I am in Ottawa I should mention.
  • I have the same problem. ive tried airplane mode, rebooting several times. Nothing. Just SMS and MMS seems affected. Voice and data are fine. Error 38 keeps popping up. Getting a bit frustrated.
    Using native texting app, connected to Fizz network....using BlackBerry KeyOne.

    You are not alone. Others today are having SMS issue as well.


    After checking the usual possible problem areas:

    - Fizz account is okay, plan is active in good standing?

    - Restart phone. Try enabling airplane mode, wait 1 min, then disable.

    - Are calling and mobile data working?


    If you cannot resolve the issue, you can contact Fizz support.

  • Thanks everyone for their help. So after two days of no sms or mms this morning I tried this and I dunkonifnits what I did or whatever issue was fixed on the network side ? But for anyone with a similar issue after rebooting your phone delete the text message conversation where you had the stuck sms/mms and then try again. That worked for me but if I try to resend the failed messages they now get stuck trying and never completes. Hope this helps.
