When activating, you can see the line to put the referral code, just above the line that shows you the taxes for your plan.
p.s. If you are looking for a referral code, please feel free to use mine 66KGA when signing-up. We will both be rewarded with a $25 credit once you have paid your second monthly bill.

I don't understand though why i still don't see it.. is it after you add the credit card? like at the very last step? Or at the more early steps where you are actually customizing the plan?

The refence code can be entered toward the end of your activation process after you have confirmed your plan but before the submit12

that is strange. I saw it in that very step of my activation process10
