Did you enable the roaming and also be sure to have 3G and 4G enable10

Sounds like there is no roaming agreement with NORTHWESTTEL for data. Next time you can try to see if you can set your mobile operator manually and choose the other option (if any).10

The coverage looks pretty spotty in the north. Were you in the pink areas?

NORTHWESTTEL has ongoing efforts to improve their LTE wireless network

It's true. The mobile network is spotty up north and food costs are way higher up there too.
You have to enable roaming and to get optimum service, you can
- switch between 3G only / LTE enabled
- manually select your network operator

Roaming was enabled, all features including data were working in British Columbia. In the Yukon we deleted the APN settings and created a new APN. Automatically or manually selecting the carrier (it was always FIZZ EXT) made no difference. Also tried all the network settings LTE or 3G and even GSM. No luck. Cell service was working, just NO DATA!
I have heard that some places like Inuvik in the Northwest Territories have a satellite dish or microwave towers for cell phone calls and therefore restrict DATA usage.10 -
If your data was working in BC, then you should be able to use the same APN settings in Yukon as well.
If your phone permits its and you see mutliple FIZZ EXT (different partners), you can choose to try a different one.

You can check if there are cell towers nearby:

Which companies are providing mobile services in the Territories?
Does Fizz have an agreement with them?0
