How long before trip should I add the Travel option?

When should I go about adding the Travel option? How long does it take to be in effect? I am traveling next month to Europe and wanted to add data.

Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle.
In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days.

I don't know where you go but you should think to by a travel Sim card where you land at the airport or on Amazon. Check this suggestion
