If you already have Videotron as your ISP, Fizz might refuse since they use the same infrastructure and also Fizz is actually Videotron's subsidiary. You can still try to subscribe to Fizz.10

Well technically yes you can, because Fizz works with Modem's mac address. So the tech can simply split the connection, and plug the Fizz modem in. A little fun fact, since Fizz works based on MAC address of the modem, you can actually take the modem and plug it anywhere in quebec where they have an active videotron line, and it would work.8

And yet we need to replace the modem and create a new plan when we are moving. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also stuck with a disabled internet plan of the old address in the account with a big button to reconnect the plan..!10 -
If you signal is good, you should be able to split the cable connection10

Julien, that’s more so for process and ensure smooth customer experience. The tech has to come anyway to your new residence to install the line so the tech brings a new modem for him. As far as cancelling and subscribing to a new internet goes, Fizz was supposed to come up with an easier option in July. Not sure what happened with that.8

Yes you can. Altima uses Bell infrastructure (phone line). Videotron internet and Fizz internet can coexist. I had them both over a month (while testing Fizz internet)8

Gally's info is right, I had Internet from Altima by Cable8

it should work as long as you pay all the bills before joining Fizz, I was with another ISP also using cable with Videotron infrastructure. When signing up with Fizz, I still have the cable connection with the old ISP for a month, using a splitter as @Mike mention, you should get 2 independence connection. I was using the old ISP together with Fizz because I have VoIP from that is locked to the old ISP IP address. so 2 works then 3 should works. After testing Fizz internet, I'm quite happy with Fizz internet. I dropped my old ISP and VoIP. If you haven't signup yet, you could use my referral code 8FEN4 and both of us will get a 25$ discount3
