I change my plan but still did not change my plan?

The plan must be changed 48hrs before the end of the plan, and the new plan will be activated the next billing cycle.

My guess is it's because the new plan will come into effect for the next monthly cycle.2

The changes does not take effect immediately, it only activates at the start of the next billing cycle, unless you changed your plan in the last 48 hours before your billing cycle renewal. In that case it's going to be in effect a month later.4
