Is there a way to turn off community forum notifications off by default?

It's a little annoying to be honest. Notifications should be built-in to the forum system, not spammed to my email. I'll randomly get emails for months old posts with new comments. I can't seem to find a way to turn them off completely, only to remember to uncheck the "follow this post" box when I comment on something or unfollowing manually later.

@Vincent, that's just to unfollow the post, not to stop receiving all emails from the community forum.

Unfortunately no. It has to be done by individual thread/post.

You're gonna need to make a special folder. I don't think that's a feature yet.
(edit: when you first make your post, you can uncheck the follow post button right under it)

You need to uncheck the "Follow this question" each time you answer a question.
