What sort of phone do you have? Does it work with the frequencies used by Fizz?

Verify if your phone is compatible with Fizz https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices
Be aware of roaming restriction https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices

It could be due to the fact that it is still under the stabilization period

it could be that in the area you are when you are roaming the signal to the FIzz network is not as strong as the partner network and so you will Roam to ensure that you are getting the best signal.
It is not a problem as long as you don't roam ALL the time for 3 months straight.

Maybe your phone doesn't have the supported band by fizz. You need b4 lte/3G , b17 lte

    What phone are you using?

In your phone settings, you should be able to turn roaming off or on

And select FIZZ as network operator.

An alternative: if you have an esim enabled device, check out Airalo. You can get 1GB of data valid for 7 days for 3$.
