Anybody using Fizz internet with Bell Fibe TV? Bell mentioned using a different internet provider will cause disruptions to TV service. Trying to find out if that is true or just them trying not to lose business

For all the channels and content you need to have Bell Fibe Internet. You can use the Fibe TV app on certain devices on other provider's connections, but you still need to be subscribed to Bell Fibe Internet.11

It used to require you to have bell internet to use Fibe TV. But this is not the case anymore, you are able to have Bell Fibe TV with any internet provider. You have to contact them and they will allow you to use Fizz Internet with Bell TV. Obviously the downside is that TV uses an internet connection, and if you call bell for technical support, they might refuse you because you aren't using their own internet.13

NO QOS if you use non-Bell internet.11

Bell Fibe TV, VMedia and Ebox are IPTV. It's mandatory, due to CRTC limiations, to use the Internet from the TV provider. Videotron TV is cable, so you can have their TV service and any other Internet provider.10
