Is the modem wifi signal decent?

I have heard that the wifi signal is not the great with the modem. Is this true? If i am living in a small apartment and my modem is located in two rooms over will the signal be alright?

    The signal is decent if you disable ATF and Band sterring feature

    If you do what MT suggested, should be fine. Depends also of the environment you leave in. If it's a condo, appartement, duplex, other routers in the neighborhood might affect your Wifi speed. And it will be the same with any other ISP.
