not getting 4G connectivity on my Huawei phone?
I did all the manual APN configuration settings on my current Huawei phone, tried restarting my phone and even tried reinserting my SIM card multiple times. But I am still not being able to get any 4G LTE connectivity, the limit is stated at 3G. My phone is a Huawei Nova 2 plus bought in China (bought 2 yrs ago), and I searched up the phone's network band support and it states that it does support Videotron's B4 with support for both the 2100/1700 network frequencies... I tried plugging in my SIM card into my friend's phone who has a Huawei Mate 20 Lite and for some reason that does receive LTE connectivity. So I'm just confused as to why my phone can't connect to 4G. I bought a 6 GB plan and I was really looking forward to using it on LTE speed. Any advice?

I don't know if your model is in this list.
According to https://willmyphonework.net/ 4G is not fully support at least 2 of them14 -
It may depend on your particular phone, or your location. Indeed, in Montreal I get 4G most of the time, but in some area (some underground part) I only get 3G.13

You can check if your phone is compatible with Videotron's network here by entering your IMEI: http://www.videotron.com/en/ct/cat2280535/internet-tv-mobile-telephony-residential-telephony/mobile-service-cell-phones-plans-smartphones-tablets/devices-and-accessories/bring-your-own-device-mobile-videotron12

No Band 4.
Or ask Fizz.
Go to https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us, wait 10 seconds, click green bubble on bottom right, and start chat10 -
Check your phonés specs for the supported lte bands. You need to have band 4 in the list9

According to the Nova 2 Plus quick start guide I found on Huawei's website there are two versions of the phone and neither has LTE band 4 support. So no LTE on fizz. Maybe the source you found indicating B4 was present is incorrect, because the phone is sure acting like it's not there.10

If you bought it in China, your phone should be version BAC-AL00. (gsmarena.com)
and this version doesn't support LTE Band 4 which is the LTE Band of Videotron network.
That is said, your phone is not compatible with Fizz LTE network.
However, according to https://www.frequencycheck.com/models/AKLrp/huawei-nova-2-plus-dual-sim-td-lte-bac-l23
Version BAC-L23 supports Band 4.11
