Is the $25 bonus before tax or after tax?

I got a referral, so I have $25 to pay my invoice in future. Here is my question: Is $25 before tax or after tax? Let's say my invoice amount with tax = $30 x 1.13 (in Ottawa) = $33.9 . Will my final payment is $33.9-25= $8.9 , or ($30-25)x 1.13 = $5.65 ?
Thanks if someone who is in early beta to answer my questions, must must got some referrals released already.

It's applied before taxes, as I can relate to my own account.

Thanks Rene for your reply. Before tax is great since we saved tax too:) I'll keep it open for 1 more day to see if there are different answers.
