When the data travel add on purchase takes effect? Same day of purchase?

Wanted to purchase 1gb per billing period data travel add on for next week trip to Mexico but I don't understand when it will start to work

    Add on is active right away and it terminates until the end of your next cycle.

    Here is an excerpt from Fizz Help

    How long does it take to activate an Add-On? How long does it last?
    Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle.
    In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days.
