they are aware of the call drop and are working on fix as we speak.
LTE will be back early next week from what I gather12 -
You are able to reach up to 30 mbps on Fizz's HSPA. Not that far from the LTE speed. It's a back up network with very nice speed offered.10

we pay for LTE service7

Yeah we pay for LTE but we get 3G speed, in addition to today’s new feature of dropped calls.9

I too have been dropping calls all day. Last count was 22 dropped calls. Most don't last much longer than a minute. I have resorted to using a majicjack account over 3g and whatsapp.
My dropped calls ranged along the 416 and 401 from Ottawa to Toronto starting a 9AM all the way through 1130pm.
Reached out to customer support via the help portal and got a lame generic answer back in French after opening a ticket in English. Really do not like the fact we cannot respond to emails from their ticket management system. To make things even worse shortly there after I receive a closed ticket notice. Not very good customer service, I would never conceive of responding to one my my francophone clients in english unless they initiated the conversation in English. Simply not appropriate. Closing the ticket on top of that is icing on the cake. Had only a week of reliable service so far, since Friday 12/7 it's literally been garbage.8 -
Calls started dropping again for me tonight. I guess it's related to the increased traffic on their network during peak hours. Very annoying!!!!!!!! Fizz definitely should compensate for this.6

In short fizz was not ready for such an influx of new customers... customers are running on 3g networking... yeah- terrible and at times no data along with dropped calls.5

Don't forget Fizz is indeed a very young operator in a launch mode which inlcudes many adjustments and fine tuning still to come. the mobile business is complex. You have to decide if it is for you or not. Fizz tries to bring something different in this industry where all players are offering just to same.. Take a time just to analyse to price differences between Quebec and Ontario, you will be astonished.
Rest assure that Fizz service will only improve but it will take some time. . Once again, it's not for everybody, but if you remain patient, you won't be disapointed.5 -
