I do not recommend Fizz to anyone. Why?

After ten days of receiving false hope and being strung along by Fizz, I've had enough.
As some of you may be aware, Fizz "accidently" unsubscribed me on November 30th and then two more times over the next couple of days. I've had no service at all in this time. Not even data. MobileSyrup published two articles about my case, I've been dealing directly with Fizz in Montreal, not the outsourced chat support people, and Fizz knows that I created and run the Fizz reddit page (which has had 58,000+ views in December so far by the way). Even with all that, Fizz has been shoving me to the side and ignoring me. I joked that they were doing this on purpose because I've accumulated so many referrals from Reddit, but now I'm starting to think there might be some truth to that.
I can't think of a single reason why new clients are able to sign up and have their services working immediately, yet it's been 10 days now and Fizz hasn't done anything at all to fix my problem. I've been incredibly patient. I don't think most people would have stuck around as long as I have based on the reactions I've seen about the two recent outages.
Fizz should have never left beta and absolutely never let open the floodgates to all these new clients. It's blatantly obvious they were not ready and still aren't. I haven't seen any improvement since day 1 of beta. In fact I've only seen things get progressively worse. I've come to Fizz's defence in the past and encouraged many people to try it out, but not anymore.
I am now filing a complaint with the CCTS and using this medium to let you all know of the horrendous service (if you can even call it that) that I've been subjected to by Fizz. I do not recommend Fizz to anyone unless you enjoy suffering.

I'm amazed you were able to post this question. So many of my answers (genuinely helpful and not sarcastic even) get send to moderation only to disappear forever.
.
You have been very, very generous with Fizz to wait as long as you have. Your situation is intolerable.

I'm sure it will get deleted soon enough. Can't delete it from Reddit though, and I'll be sure to let everyone know if it does get deleted.29

They need to do better (fizz)26

My sentiments as well. Fizz should never have gone mainstream. At best, they should still be in beta mode. They're terribly understaffed. the network is unreliable. We need to jump hoops to get to support. Just not ready. Hope someone high up sees this and does makes some real changes. They need to just to survive...because the next major outage will probably be the last straw for many users.28

I really hope it doesn't get deleted since everyone is entitled to they own free opinion. Personally I knew that fizz would have a few hickups but wasn't expecting anything this major.25

As long as they don't disappear before customers can port out... ! My referrals have already left.23

What kind of a resolution are you seeking now?
Has your phone number been reassigned to someone else?
Are you planning to switch back to another carrier?

I really do feel sorry for you Alex.
I am on the fence right now about staying with all the issues. Money is tight for me so that is the only reason why I brought my 4 lines over. Can't afford the $60/month for good amount of data. I work a grave yard shift with no wifi. My phone data is the only thing that keeps me occupied during my office downtime (4-6 hours a night).
I am very tempted to jump to Videotron but this company is the same and I don't think they really care about the people paying their bills. Fizz will most likely fizzle out because of all these issue, but maybe not. They have $$ and will just advertise and get more people that way. Sad to say Freedom is somewhat the same. Shitty network in Ottawa yet they keep getting new customers.
Good luck with what you do and will be sad to see the Reddit community go. Are you going to stick around there or lock it just to bash Fizz, VideoTron and Quebecor??
Posting this here and Reddit cause you know this will be deleted.23 -
Suffering is the right word. I hate saying this, but I guess you can only expect so much for the price (in my case, still the Beta pricing). Bad image on Fizz.20

I'm just gland I'm still paying only $5 for this month. Even if they offered some compensation for the recent downtimes it wouldn't make any real difference to me financially. But when my wife is getting pissed off because she can't get in touch with me for an entire day, including letting me know when she is waiting for me in the car after work, it makes it really hard to stick it out for even $5 per month.13

Yeah I wouldn't recommend them to anyone right now either. I'm still sticking around hoping that they'll get their act together. But I'm not going to put anyone I now through this stuff for 25$.21

So sorry for your problems.16

I don't have data service for more than 24hrs now. I'm going to switch to another service provider who I can rely on it.15

Ramashan, a lot of people have lost access to data since whatever fix was deployed overnight on Friday. Usually, if you can manage to create a new apn setting with the usual fizz apn settings and choose that one, you can get H+ data at least.15

I feel really sorry for what happened to you Alexandre. Comparing to your case my data meter problem seems insignificant but I really know how you feel because I've been treated with the same indifference by this company. Sticking up for now due to the lack of real alternative but sadly, me too, I don't see any kind of improvements so far.15

Agree! Fizz still has long ways to go, it's unstable and for that reason, I wouldn't recommend them either.
I just switched back to Fido this morning. They offered me an extra 1GB and $2 off per bill on top of what I was supposed to be getting with Fizz. Feels good to finally be back on LTE and to be able to use SMS again (as well as a better deal)!17 -
Alexandre, talk about a rought time you had. Appreciate all the work and information you provided. Good luck.

Yeah, with Fizz I signed up for LTE service, but getting 3G.15
