No LTE right now, for the past hour my radio has been bouncing between bands 5 and 2 Fizz network, HSPA+ in Ottawa. Crazy, but works well.

Same happened on me for days now only 3G, and keeps cutting. I am thinking to quit Fizz.16

I guess Videotron didn't allocate enough bandwidth to Fizz. And they didn't expect high demand of Fizz. I hope it can be fixed after the test period because Fizz has no price advantage vs Chatr and other providers, if it's jus H+16

Mines 3G, but it always is when i am at the basement.12

Actually, when I'm on LTE in Ottawa band 4 or 12 the carrier name says Fizz Network, but the number from the cell tower shows it to be #720 which is Rogers, Fizz and Videotron are #520. So this may be the problem they are trying to resolve. Videotron LTE was always 520.12

I have a non-name phone with Fizz now. It's very common it has H+ if I'm in a building. So it maybe the band issue of your phone as well.11

@Yun H. I tried it with another phone same thing. It may be the SIM, but I always have LTE when it drops down to 3G, it's on carrier 520, but on LTE in Ottawa it always shows 720 (Rogers). Same shared towers that Videotron always shows 520. May also be the way my number was ported to the network too. But I really think that there a lot of Network issues that Fizz must still fix. I don't see them getting out of beta for many more months.10

It's fizz problem. I was with 4G 2 days ago and I'm always 3G today. Went to different places in Ottawa today and never see 4g on my screen.11

Really good observations Nicolas. Been using Network Cell Info Lite and some open mapping to look at our Fizz coverage and partner roaming.
Not really sure where Fizz is at with the partner roaming (PRTNR rogers etc) but bouncing on and off band 5 and rogers ... or worse down to HSPA / 3G on Fizz-EXT as some are getting can be rough.
This is a good time to have a dual SIM or a couple of devices to get through the beta and now ongoing issues or outages. All part of testing a new flanker brand... hope for the best!10
