This is probably a network problem. Normally you can't connect to Rogers. Your phone should connect to Fizz and Fizz Ext.20

Is it suppose to show Rogers? My phone just shows Fizz EXT.18

@Kenny L. It won't show Rogers when your phone is working. Only Fizz & Fizz Ext.
I know yesterday when the network was down, it was possible it had shown Rogers, Videotron,... but this is because the network was down.

I haven't rebooted after the outage yesterday, but my phone shows Fizz, Rogers, Bell and Telus. Maybe Videotron too (I have see Videotron, but am not sure if it's always there). Oddly I don't see Fizz Ext as an option. Nonetheless, I can't connect to the other networks either, just Fizz.16

@Jonathan C. Reboot your phone. It should correct the problem with Fizz network connection if you have problem using it. The network should be running now. It's possible you can be on 3G instead of LTE.16

I'm not having any problems with Fizz, aside from being on 3G but as I said I suspect that is how it always was. Even when I was with Koodo before I would force my phone onto 3G because the LTE signal was so weak here. But I did reboot to see if Fizz Ext would show up and it didn't. I still see the actual network names instead.15

I think it will never show other cie logo on your phone, only Fiz EXT.
I was in the Romouski remote area la week, had no problems rooming through Telus tower, which is the only cell tower in that area.

Whether you see Fizz, Fizz EXT, or the actual carrier names on any nearby tower all depend on your Phone type and firmware. Most unlocked phones are capable of seeing all available carriers.
Some phones are dumbed down to only seeing the SIM carrier available signal when you install the carrier network settings, or automatically done by the SIM card itself.
In some instances phones will show the carrier ID only, such as 520 for Fizz, 720 for Rogers, etc.
In Ottawa Fizz/Videotron towers are all shared with Rogers.5
